Drills & Exercises
In order to ensure that our equipment is always readily available and in excellent working condition, Oceancare Ltd organises quarterly drills, mobilising all equipment and designated oil spill crew at strategic locations around the island. The outcome of each exercise is discussed in detail and any issues are rectified.
Furthermore, we participate in MALTEX national oil pollution simulation exercises organised by Transport Malta in collaboration with the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).
During these exercises our employees get the opportunity to train for the eventuality of a real spill, testing both the communication systems, the equipment and to make sure all roles and responsibilities of the personnel.
