Staff Training & Certification
Oceancare Ltd invests heavily in the training of its personnel, enabling the organisation to have a professional, fully-fledged oil response team.
In accordance with IMO guidelines, Oceancare personnell have received training to address all aspects of oil spill planning, response and management. Held at MaritimeMT, staff members of Oceancare attended different courses on oil pollution preparedness and response, which have been developed for three levels of competency:
- Operational staff (Level 1);
- Supervisors and on-scene commanders (Level 2); and
- Senior management personnel (Level 3).
